This module is designed to equip students with the communication skills required in the employment world. It consists of fundamental documents and methodologies for handling challenges in organisations, for example, conflict and human capital management.   • The module is a continuation of Applied Management and Cost Accounting II and discusses the characteristics of strategic Management Accounting decisions including performance evaluation, control quantitative techniques, TQM, ABC and non-financial performance measures.

The module is meant to provide an understanding of the nature, purpose and scope of Auditing, the principles of Auditing and the Application of International Standards on Auditing (ISA). It also addresses the role of the external audit, planning, current issues in Auditing and its regulatory framework. The Module covers topics such as the practical approach to audit, audit evidence, audit risk, fraud and error, internal audit, the audit of transactions and balances, auditing materiality, substantive testing, management representation, quality control for audit, going concern. The module introduces students to the role of tax in an economy and goes on to the applications of the Income Tax and Finance Acts sections relevant to the taxation of an individual with respect of employment income. It also covers application in nature looking at the practical preparation of tax returns, ZIMRA tax requirements, Companies’ tax returns, how to file them through e-filling etc.

BSc. Banking and Finance

The School of Accounting and Business has been established by CA Sri Lanka for the purpose of conducting the B.Sc. (Applied Accounting) Degree programme, which is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The SAB functions under the overall responsibility of the Council of CA Sri Lanka and consists of two academic departments namely the Department of Accounting and Finance and the Department of Business Studies. Please provide the original non-translated and translated documents during submission. Education Consultants will submit all necessary documents to the Admissions department for evaluation of the application.

Its emphasis is on how finance managers can maximize the wealth of shareholders through the management of key finance variables. The module is intended to enable the students to acquire knowledge about the significance of computers in a business environment. The learners will be exposed to accounting packages such as QuickBooks, Pastel Evolution, etc. The main thrust of the module will be the use of spreadsheet software in an accounting environment and the use of computerized accounting software packages to generate financial reports.

Dates and fees for the BSc degree

It develops the student’s capacity to logically gather data, present it and logically analyse it in an ethical manner. The student eventually writes up a project based on their research topic before completing their programme of study in line with ACC458. The Information and Technology module aims to give students an understanding of the basics of the computer and its processes.

Local students will need to understand and sign the Student Contract and Advisory note to confirm their acceptance of the programme. Students studying for the Preparatory Couse for ACCA are automatically opted into the Oxford Brookes University BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting Programme upon registering for the ACCA qualification. All students and members must submit all requirements for the BSc programme by May 2026, please refer to the ACCA’s webpage for further information.

From December 2025, applications will be open for our new BSc collaboration with the University of London. Providing eligible ACCA students, affiliates and members the opportunity to maximise their career opportunities and stand out from the crowd. You’ll learn to solve real-world problems using advanced analytical tools, conduct independent research, write academic-standard reports, and manage your own study programme proficiently. It also aims to help students become more effective as professional accountancy students and/or practitioners. Combine your professional achievements with a Research and Analysis Project (RAP) to gain a 360 credit Bachelor’s degree from a leading UK university. 330 credits are gained through passing your ACCA exams and the remaining 30 credits are gained through passing your RAP.

If you are currently studying with another college in Singapore, and have already secured a valid Student Pass, all you need to do is to apply for a transfer of Student Pass to study with the London School of Business & Finance in Singapore (LSBF). LSBF will also put in place the FPS Insurance for International Students to protect the fees paid to the School. Upon receipt of the signed Acceptance of Offer Letter and Application fee, LSBF will proceed to submit the Student Pass application via Singapore ICA Student OnLine Application & Registration+ (SOLAR+) system.
